How To Clean Coffee And Tea Stains Out of Satin
- Mix a solution of one-part dish soap with two parts water. Use a gentle, mild dish soap such as Dawn, Ivory, or Palmolive. Avoid using harsh soaps like laundry detergents, as they may cause damage.
- Dip a soft cloth in the solution and gently blot the stain. Do not scrub, as this will push the stain further into the fabric. Work from the outside of the stain towards the center.
- Treat the stained area with a stain remover. Allow it to sit for 15-30 minutes before blotting with a damp sponge to remove any residue.
- Rinse the area with cold water. Blot the fabric dry with a clean paper towel or cloth.
- Air dry the item. Hang up the fabric and let it air dry naturally for best results. If necessary, place a dry towel underneath the fabric to soak up any excess moisture.
