Before beginning the stain removal process, you'll need to gather a few items. You'll need a clean cloth, cold water, white vinegar, baking soda, dishwashing liquid, and laundry detergent.
Your first step should be to blot stain immediately with a clean cloth. Do not rub or scrub, as this may cause the stain to spread. Keep blotting until cloth comes away relatively dry.
Create a solution of one part white vinegar and one part cold water. Soak the stained area with this solution for 10 minutes or so. This will help to break down the stain and make it easier to remove.
Take a small amount of baking soda and mix it with a few drops of cold water to form a paste. Gently rub the paste into the stain using a circular motion. Allow it to sit for 15 minutes before rinsing it out with cold water.
Add a few drops of dishwashing liquid and a capful of laundry detergent to a basin of cold water. Soak the sarong in the water for 30 minutes. Gently agitate the water during this time to help loosen the stain. Rinse the sarong out with cold water once finished.
Lay the sarong out flat on a drying rack or towel to air dry. Never put a sarong in the dryer, as this can cause it to shrink or become damaged.
And there you have it - your sarong is now stain-free! Follow these simple steps and you'll have your sarong looking like new in no time.
