Step 1: Blotting the Stain

When a fresh spill occurs, quickly reach for an absorbent cloth and blot the spot. This will help to soak up much of liquid and keep it from further spreading. Make sure to use a gentle pressure so that fabric does not get damaged.

Step 2: Apply Detergent

Once the stain has been blotted, apply a small amount of detergent directly onto the fabric. Allow it to sit for a few minutes before rinsing off with cold water and a soft cloth. Repeat this until the stain has lightened considerably.

Step 3: Apply Vinegar Solution

Mix a solution of equal parts white vinegar and warm water. Dip a soft cloth into the solution and dab it onto stain. Rinse off the cloth and repeat this process several times until the stain has been removed.

Step 4: Use Baking Soda

Sprinkle baking soda directly onto the stain and add a little water to create a paste. Spread the paste evenly over the stain and leave it to dry completely. Vacuum the area once it has dried up. This will help to remove any remaining traces of the stain.

Step 5: Wash the Robe

Machine wash the robe on the appropriate setting for its fabric type. Add a gentle detergent and a few drops of essential oil to wash for extra odor-fighting power. Once wash is complete, hang the robe up to dry.
