Take your raincoat and hold stained area over a sink or basin. Slowly pour soda water over the stain until it's completely saturated. The carbonation of the water will help lift the stain from the material.
Once the stain has been soaked, use a cleaning brush to gently scrub away at the spot. Focus on the stained area and be careful not to damage the fabric. This may take some time, so be sure to be patient.
Once you've finished scrubbing, rinse the area with water to remove any remaining stain particles. Then, use a soft cloth to blot area dry.
If there are still some stubborn stains remaining, mix baking soda or detergent with a small amount of water to create a paste. Apply the paste to the stained area and allow it to sit for 15-20 minutes before scrubbing the area with the cleaning brush again.
Once all the stains have been removed, place the raincoat in a dry area and let it air dry naturally. Do not put the raincoat in a dryer as this can cause the fabric to shrink and stains to set in.
Cleaning coffee and tea stains from a raincoat is an easy process that can be done at home quickly and easily. Just follow the steps outlined above and you'll be able to get rid of any stubborn stains and bring your raincoat back to its original glory!
