The first step in cleaning coffee and tea stains from pongee is to create a cleaning solution. The best method of removal will depend on the type and age of the stain, so here are a few solutions to try:
Once the cleaning solution has been prepared, it's time to apply it to stained area. Gently blot the stain with a clean cloth soaked in the solution and work from the outside edge to the centre. Once you've removed as much of the stain as possible, rinse the area with cold water and allow it to air dry.
For stubborn stains, make a paste using equal parts white vinegar and baking soda. Apply the paste directly to the stain and allow it to sit for 30 minutes. Then, blot stained area with a clean cloth dipped in warm water. Rinse area with cold water and allow it to air dry.
