Using a Scrub Brush and Mild Soap Solution

This is one of the easiest and quickest ways to remove coffee and tea stains on pavers and concrete. Start by creating a mild soap solution with warm water and the soap of your choice. Take a scrub brush and dip it into soapy water. Start scrubbing affected area of the paver or concrete with scrub brush. Continue scrubbing for at least five minutes until the stain is removed. If it’s still there, use a stronger soap solution.

Using an Oxalic Acid Solution

For tougher stains, like oil or grease, you can use oxalic acid. It's important to note that oxalic acids are very corrosive and should be used with extreme caution. Choose either the powder or crystalline form of oxalic acid. Create the solution by mixing parts of water and one part oxalic acid powder. Then, take a plastic scrub brush and dip it into the solution. Start scrubbing the affected area of the paver or concrete with the scrub brush. Continue scrubbing the area until the stain is gone.

Using a Powdered Cleaner

This method carries less risk with regards to the chemical used, but it will take more effort on your part. First, choose a powdered cleaner specifically formulated for pavers and concrete. These types of cleaners are usually made of natural ingredients like baking soda, which is effective at removing coffee and tea stains. Wet the stained area with water and then add powdered cleaner to the wet stain. Using a stiff-bristle broom, start scrubbing the area with the cleaner in circular motions. You can also use a hard-bristled brush to really get down and scrub the stain out. Continue scrubbing until the stain has been removed.
