When it comes to cleaning coffee and tea stains from your favorite pair of pants, you want to act fast. Once the stain is dry, it’s harder to remove. Here are the steps for removing coffee and tea stains from your pants:

  • Start by lightly blotting the area with a damp cloth or sponge.
  • Mix 1 part liquid dish detergent with 2 parts cool water, and lightly dab the stain with the mixture.
  • Rinse the area with cold water to remove any soap residue.
  • If the stain persists, mix equal parts white vinegar and water and dab the stained area with the mixture. Rinse area with cool water and repeat if necessary.
  • If the stain still remains after treatments, you can apply a pre-wash stain remover to the area and let it sit for five minutes before laundering as normal.

When treating the stain, try not to rub it into the fabric as this can cause the stain to spread. Keep the fabric damp while treating and rinsing the stain. Also, always check the care label on your clothing before attempting to treat a stain, and always test a small amount of detergent or vinegar on an inconspicuous area in order to ensure that it doesn’t damage your garment before using.

Following these steps should help remove coffee and tea stains from your pants quickly and easily.
