Things You'll Need:

  • WD-40
  • Toothbrush
  • Paper Towel
  • Water
  • Vinegar
  • Soft Cloth

Step 1: Spray With WD-40

First, start by spraying stained area of hair clip with WD-40. Let the solution sit for a just a few minutes and then blot with a paper towel until the stain is gone.

Step 2: Scrub With Toothbrush

After blotting away excess liquid with a paper towel, take a toothbrush and scrub off any remaining stain. Make sure to use a light touch so you don’t damage material of the hair clip.

Step 3: Rinse With Water

Once the stain has been removed, rinse area with water to remove any traces of WD-40. Blot dry with a soft cloth and let the hair clip air dry completely before using again.

Step 4: Apply Vinegar

If any stain remains after these steps, mix vinegar and water together in equal parts and use it to spot clean the stain. This mixture should do the trick!
