What You Need

  • White vinegar
  • Mild detergent
  • Clean cloth
  • Cold water

Step One - Blotting

Once you’ve noticed the stain, use a clean cloth or paper towel to blot at the area and lift the liquid out of the fabric. Don’t rub, as this can cause the stain to spread.

Step Two - Spot Treatment

Mix one teaspoon of white vinegar and a squirt of mild detergent in one cup of cold water. Dip a clean cloth into the solution and dab the stained area with the cloth. Blot the area to draw out the excess liquid and let it air dry.

Step Three - Wash

If the stain remains after the spot treatment, wash garter on the gentle cycle setting with cold water and mild detergent. Do not place the garter in the drier until you are sure the stain is completely gone.
