Spot Treat with Detergent and Water

Mix a small amount of detergent, such as liquid dish soap, with warm water. Dip a white cloth into the solution and apply it to the stain, dabbing gently. Avoid rubbing the area, as this can spread the stain and cause it to set. Once all of the stain has been removed, rinse the area with clean water. Be sure to read the care label of your dashiki before attempting to spot treat the fabric.

Treat Stains with Vinegar and Water

Mix equal parts of white vinegar and warm water in a bowl. Dip a soft, white cloth into solution and wring it out so that it is just damp. Blot the stain using cloth, working from the outside inwards to avoid spreading. Rinse the area with cold water and allow to air dry completely.

Try Baking Soda

Make a paste by combining baking soda with a small amount of water. Dab the stain with the paste and then leave it to sit for at least 30 minutes. Rinse the area with cool water and then check to see if the stain has been removed. If it hasn’t, repeat the process until the spot is gone.

Bring in Professionals

If you’ve tried all the above steps and still haven’t managed to get rid of stain, it might be time to call in a professional cleaner. A cleaning specialist will be able to use more advanced techniques, such as steam cleaning, to remove any stubborn stains.
