The first step in removing coffee or tea stains from cotton voile is to act quickly. Blot the stained area with a clean cloth to absorb as much liquid as possible and prevent the stain from setting.
Next, mix together a solution of cool water and a mild liquid detergent. Dip a clean cloth into the mixture and gently blot the stained area until stain begins to lighten. Rinse the fabric with cold water to remove any residue and then let it air dry.
For stubborn stains, you may need to moisten cloth with hydrogen peroxide, and then gently rub the stained area. Repeat this process until stain has been completely removed.
Once the stain is gone, machine wash the fabric in warm water with a mild detergent. You may want to use a color safe bleach to help take out any lingering discoloration. If you're planning to hand wash the fabric, use only a mild detergent and cool water, and mix it up until the soap is completely dissolved.
Once fabric is clean and dry, you can press it with an iron on a low heat setting to reduce any wrinkling caused by moisture.
Now you know how to easily remove coffee and tea stains from your cotton voile. With these simple steps, you can keep your fabrics looking beautiful and free from those pesky spills!
