Using a clean, soft cloth or towel, blot up any excess liquid. Make sure you use a light touch and don't rub the fabric so you don’t spread the stain further.
Mix a mild detergent (like dish soap) with lukewarm water in a bowl. Stir until mixture is foamy and bubbly.
Soak a soft cloth in the soapy solution and then gently dab it onto the stain. Then, rinse the cloth and dab it again, repeating until the stain is no longer visible.
Rinse the stained area with a clean cloth and warm water. Make sure all the soap is removed from the fabric or it may cause damage.
If the stain is still visible, mix together equal parts white vinegar and warm water. Soak a cloth in this solution and dab it on the stain. This should help to loosen and remove the stain.
If the stain still won't budge, make a paste using baking soda and water. Rub the paste into the stain using your fingers or a toothbrush. Let it sit for 10 minutes before wiping away with a damp cloth.
Let shoes air dry in a well-ventilated area before wearing. Once it is completely dry, check the area for any remaining stains.
Cleaning coffee and tea stains from Converse shoes isn't always easy, but with right combination of cleaning solutions and a bit of effort, you can make them look brand new. Just remember to be gentle and never use an abrasive brush or scrubbing pad, as that can damage the material.
