What You Will Need:

  • White vinegar
  • Soft-bristled brush
  • Mild detergent

Steps for Removing Coffee & Tea Stains:

  1. To remove fresh coffee or tea stains, first, blot up any excess liquid with a paper towel. Then pour 1 tablespoon of white vinegar directly onto the stain and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Once the vinegar has been on the stain for 10-15 minutes, use a soft-bristled brush to gently scrub the stain in a circular motion. This will help to break up the stain.
  3. Once the stain has been broken up, dab the stain with a damp paper towel to absorb any remaining moisture.
  4. If there is any remaining stain, apply a small amount of mild detergent to the fabric and use a soft-bristle brush to work the detergent into the stain.
  5. Rinse the fabric with cold water until the detergent has been completely removed.
  6. Finally, allow your chinos to air dry or machine dry on a low setting.
