When coffee or tea spills on your cashmere, the first thing you should do is blot the stain using a clean cloth. Avoid rubbing the stain as this can cause it to set into the fabric.
Mix one cup of cold water with one tablespoon of white vinegar in a bowl. This mixture will help break down the stain, making it easier to remove.
Dip a clean white cloth into the mixture and then blot the stain. Be sure not to rub the stain as this can cause it to spread. You may need to repeat this step a few times to completely remove the stain.
Once you have finished blotting the stain with the mixture, use a damp cloth and clean water to rinse. You should not use soapy water as this will set the stain.
To prevent further damage, allow cashmere to air dry. Do not attempt to speed up the drying process by using a blow dryer or other heat source.
