Say Goodbye to Coffee and Tea Stains on Business Attire

Coffee and tea stains on business attire can quickly ruin a memorable first impression. But the good news is, these stains do not have to be permanent. With the right know-how, you can easily remove coffee and tea stains from any fabric and restore your business attire.

Materials Needed

• 1 tablespoon of dishwashing detergent
• 1 cup of warm water
• Small brush or sponge
• Towel

Steps

1. Treat the stain as soon as possible. Altering an old stain may make removing it more difficult.
2. Prepare a solution of one tablespoon of mild dishwashing detergent mixed with one cup of warm water.
3. Apply the detergent solution to the stain using a small brush or damp sponge.
4. Gently work the detergent into the fabric using small circular motions.
5. Let solution sit on the stain for a few minutes.
6. Rinse fabric thoroughly with cold water.
7. Pat the fabric dry with a towel. If the stain is still visible, repeat steps three to seven.
8. Let the fabric air dry.

Tips

• Always read care label before applying any cleaning solutions as to avoid damaging the fabric.
• If the fabric is colorfast, use a teaspoon of white vinegar in place of the detergent.
• For larger or more stubborn stains, apply detergent solution directly to the fabric and then soak the garment for 30 minutes.
