No one likes to wear stained board shorts and getting rid of tea and coffee stains can be a challenge. Fortunately, there are several easy methods you can use to quickly and easily remove the stains and keep your board shorts looking as good as new. Here's how to do it.

Fill a bucket or sink with hot water and add a good quality laundry detergent. Mix them together until suds form. Add your board shorts and let them soak for about an hour. Gently scrub the areas with the stains using a soft brush. Rinse the board shorts with cold water and hang them up to dry.
Mix together 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and 1 teaspoon of baking soda in a small bowl. Dip a soft cloth in the mixture and dab stained areas. Let the board shorts sit for 5 minutes and then rinse them thoroughly with cold water. Hang them up to dry.
Cut a lemon in half and sprinkle some salt onto it. Rub the lemon over the stained areas and let it sit for 10 minutes. Rinse with cold water and hang your board shorts up to dry.
Mix together 1 teaspoon of dishwashing liquid and 1 cup of lukewarm water. Dip a soft cloth in the mixture and rub it gently on stained area. Let it sit for 5 minutes and then rinse the board shorts with cold water. Hang them up to dry.
Mix together ½ cup of baking soda and ¼ cup of hydrogen peroxide. Rub the mixture into the stained areas and let it sit for 30 minutes. Rinse with cold water and hang your board shorts up to dry.
Now that you know how to get rid of coffee and tea stains on board shorts, you can take steps to prevent them in future. Avoid wearing your board shorts around food and drinks and if you do, make sure to rinse them off quickly. When you're done swimming in sea or pool, rinse your board shorts in cold water before hanging them up to dry.
