Step 1: Know the Fabric of Your Blazer

Different materials require different cleaning methods. Before attempting any DIY solutions, check the labels for care instructions. The symbol used may vary depending on the fabric of your blazer.

Step 2: Spot Test a Small Area

Once you have identified the type of fabric, it’s time to test the solution to make sure it won’t damage the material. Use a soft white cloth or cotton swab on an area that is not easily visible, such as inside the pocket or at the back hem of blazer.

Step 3: Wet the Stain Area with Cold Water

Before applying any cleaning solution, first wet the stain with cold water. Use a gentle circular motion and continue until the entire area is damp. Rinse the area with plenty of cold water.

Step 4: Apply a DIY Solution

Mix a solution of detergent and white vinegar. Make sure you choose a detergent that is compatible with the type of fabric of blazer. Moisten a white cloth with the mixture and use it to lightly scrub stain in a circular motion. Rinse area with plenty of cold water. Repeat this process until the stain is removed.

Step 5: Dry the Blazer

Pat area dry using a clean, white cloth. If necessary, use a steam iron on a low setting to loosen the stain further. Allow the area to air dry.
