Before You Begin

Before you get to work on removing the stain, it's important to check that your anorak material is colorfast. To do this, mix a little bit of laundry detergent with water and dab some on the fabric in an inconspicuous spot. Wait for several minutes before rinsing with cold water. If the color remains unchanged, it's safe to attempt stain removal.

Removing Stain

Once you've tested the material and checked that it's colorfast, you can start removing coffee or tea stain:

  • Mix equal parts white vinegar and cold water in a bowl.
  • Spray or brush the solution onto the stain.
  • Blot the stain vigorously with a soft cloth.
  • Repeat the process until the stain is no longer visible.
  • Once the stain is gone, rinse area with cold water.
  • Allow the fabric to air dry.

Preventing Future Stains

To prevent future stains, you may want to treat your anorak with a stain protector. This will help to repel liquid and make it easier to get out any unwanted spills. Additionally, you can use a cup holder or mat to protect your anorak when drinking hot drinks.
