If you notice coffee or tea on your activewear, the first step is always to blot it as quickly as possible. Use an absorbent cloth or paper towel and gently press around the stained area without rubbing—this will help prevent the stain from sinking further into the fabric.
Some spot cleaners are specifically designed for removing persistent coffee and tea stains, so if you have one on hand, this is usually a good first option. Be sure to follow instructions included with your product, and always test the cleaner on a small area of the garment first to make sure it won't cause discolouration.
If you don't have any spot cleaner, a simple vinegar solution can often do the trick. All you need to do is mix white vinegar with warm water in equal parts, then use a cloth to dab the solution onto the stain. Let it sit for a few minutes, then rinse with cold water and let the fabric air dry.
For tougher stains, you may want to try soaking the fabric in a solution of warm water and laundry detergent. Let it soak for 30 minutes, then rinse with cold water and hang to dry. Once the fabric is completely dry, you can treat any remaining stains with a pre-treatment product such as Vanish, and then throw it in the washing machine.
With these tips, you can easily and effectively remove coffee and tea stains from your activewear. Just remember to act quickly and to take care when cleaning delicate fabrics. Good luck!
