Removing Coffee and Tea Stains with Hydrogen Peroxide

Mix a teaspoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide with just enough warm water to form a paste. Apply paste to the stained area of your acrylic and let it sit for several minutes. After the designated time has passed, use a soft cloth to rub and scrub away the stain. If any residue remains, rinse the surface by wiping it with warm water.

Removing Coffee and Tea Stains with Vinegar and Baking Soda

Create a paste using vinegar and baking soda. Rub the paste onto the affected area of your acrylic and let it sit for several minutes before rinsing it off with warm water. This method is particularly effective for removing tea stains.

Removing Coffee and Tea Stains with Ammonia and Water

Mix one-quarter cup of ammonia with one-third cup of warm water. Dip a soft cloth into this mixture and apply it directly to the stained area of your acrylic. After letting it sit for a few minutes, scrub the stain. Rinse surface with warm water and dry it immediately.

Additional Tips

  • Always use a gentle cleaning solution. Harsh chemicals can damage your acrylic.
  • Test any cleaning solution on a small, non-visible area of your acrylic before use.
  • Avoid using abrasive cleaning materials such as steel wool and scouring pads.
  • Completely dry your acrylic after each cleaning session. Moisture can cause damage or discoloration over time.
