Chocolate stains can happen to anyone, whether it’s from a spilled hot cocoa or a piece of chocolate that melts in your pocket. But don’t panic – it isn’t nearly as difficult to remove chocolate stains as you might think.
If you notice a chocolate stain on your workwear, don’t wait around. The sooner you attend to the stain, the easier it will be to remove it.
Start by running a sink or basin full of warm water. Mix a few drops of soap into the water and let your garment soak for at least 15 minutes. After that, use a sponge to scrub the stained area gently with the soapy water.
Once the stain has been scrubbed, rinse the area thoroughly with cold water. You may need to repeat Step 2 if the stain is still visible. Be sure to rinse the area out completely before moving on to the next step.
If the stain is still there after rinsing, grab a white vinegar and dampen a cleaning cloth with it. Rub the cloth over the stained area and let it sit for about five minutes before giving it another rinse.
Once you’re satisfied with your stain removal efforts, toss garment in the washing machine with your other clothes and follow the laundering instructions on the label. Once the washing is done, hang your garment up to air dry.
Getting rid of chocolate stains on workwear doesn’t have to be a difficult task. As long as you act quickly and use the right cleaning materials, you should be able to get rid of those stubborn stains in no time.
