Instructions

  1. Start by dabbing the stained area gently with a clean cloth and cold water. Do not rub or scrub, as this could cause stain to spread further.
  2. If necessary, add a few drops of mild laundry detergent to the cloth and continue blotting area.
  3. Place the garment in cold water and allow it to soak for five to ten minutes.
  4. Mix one tablespoon of baking soda and two tablespoons of warm water. Apply the mixture to the stain and let sit for fifteen minutes.
  5. Rinse garment with cold water and repeat if necessary.
  6. After the stain has been removed, machine wash the garment on its regular setting.

Tips

  • For difficult stains, applying white vinegar can help to break down the chocolate.
  • If the stain is still present after trying above steps, try using a commercial stain remover.
  • Be sure to always check the label on garment before washing and follow the specific instructions.
