Step 1: Blot Up Excess Chocolate

First, use a cloth or paper towel to blot away any excess chocolate. Make sure to do this gently so you don’t spread the stain further. Once you’ve blotted up as much as you can, move on to the next step.

Step 2: Pre-Treat The Stain With Detergent

Mix a small amount of liquid laundry detergent with a cup of cold water, then apply the solution to the stained area using a clean cloth. Gently massage the detergent into the fabric in a circular motion. Let this stand for ten minutes.

Step 3: Rinse Out The Detergent

After ten minutes have passed, take a clean cloth and rinse away the detergent by dabbing the cloth in lukewarm water. Blot the area until all of the detergent has been removed.

Step 4: Wash The Tie In A Machine Wash Cycle

Once you’ve pre-treated and rinsed the tie, it’s time to wash it. Place the tie in a mesh laundry bag and set your washing machine to the gentle cycle with cold water. Allow the tie to go through a full cycle, then hang it up to dry.

Step 5: Check And Repeat If Necessary

Once the tie is dry, check to see if the stain is gone. If not, repeat the above steps until the stain is completely removed.
