As soon as you notice the stain, take a paper towel and gently blot away excess chocolate. Don't rub or scrub. This may only cause the stain to spread.
Mix a few drops of mild detergent (such as dishwashing liquid) with cold water and apply it directly to the stain. Let it sit for a few minutes before blotting it up with a paper towel.
Rinse the area with cold water and blot with a clean paper towel. Make sure that all the detergent is removed.
Mix one tablespoon of baking soda with a small amount of white vinegar and water to form a paste. Apply paste to the stain, let it sit for 10-15 minutes, then rinse and blot dry.
Fill a bowl with cold water and add a few drops of mild detergent. Soak tie for 30 minutes, then rinse with cold water. Blot with a clean paper towel.
Turn the tie inside out and place clean paper towels over stain. Set your iron to the lowest setting, and press the paper towels for about 15 seconds. Check for signs of damage every few seconds. When finished, remove the paper towel and check that the stain has been removed.
Following the steps above should be enough to get rid of any chocolate stains on your tie. If stain persists, take it to the dry cleaners as soon as possible.
