What You’ll Need

  • A mild liquid laundry detergent
  • A small bowl
  • White vinegar
  • A soft bristle brush

Steps for Cleaning Chocolate Stains

  1. Start by mixing a teaspoon of the liquid detergent with two tablespoons of white vinegar in the bowl. Stir until it's evenly blended.
  2. Dampen stained area with lukewarm water. Don't saturate it.
  3. Using the brush, spread the detergent-vinegar mixture over stain and let it sit for five minutes.
  4. Rinse off solution with lukewarm water.
  5. If the stain is still visible, repeat steps 2-4 until it's gone.
  6. Let your swimsuit air dry.

Tips for Preventing Future Stains

  • Always avoid eating near any type of clothing, particularly swimwear.
  • Read washing instructions carefully. Many swimsuits are best cleaned by handwashing in cold water with mild detergent.
  • Be sure to avoid using too much detergent, which can leave a residue on fabric or cause fading.
