When chocolate melts onto fabrics, its high sugar content makes it a very difficult stain to remove. Furthermore, its oily consistency means it can quickly seep into fabric pores and be difficult to clean. Fortunately, there are some measures that you can take to clean stubborn chocolate stains from sandals.
If stain has been on the sandals for a while, you may need to use a stronger detergent solution. Mix together four parts warm water with one part white vinegar and one part mild detergent. Dip a cotton ball into this solution, then use it to blot the stained area.
You may also want to try using a stain remover specifically designed for removing chocolate stains. Be sure to read the instructions that come with the product before you apply it.
Finally, if the stain persists, you may need to take the sandals to a professional cleaner. It is important to note that professional cleaning may cause some discoloration and damage to the sandals, so make sure you know what you are getting into.
