The faster you act, easier it will be to remove the stain. Start by rinsing the area with cold water as soon as possible to prevent it from setting in. Don't use hot water, as this will make the stain more difficult to remove.
Apply a few drops of liquid laundry detergent directly to stained area and work it in gently with your fingers. Make sure that you only use detergent that's safe for the fabric you're working with to avoid damaging it further.
Take a white cloth and gently blot the stained area. This will help to lift the chocolate and work it into the cloth instead of the fabric. Repeat until stain is no longer visible.
Rinse the area with cold water thoroughly to remove any remaining detergent. Then, lay garment flat on a paper towel and leave it to air dry. Once it's completely dry, check to see if the stain is gone. If it has not been removed, repeat the above steps or take it to a professional cleaner.
Chocolate stains can be tricky to remove, but they don't have to ruin your favorite pair of pants. With these simple steps, you can be sure to get that chocolate off and keep your clothing looking great.
