Steps for Cleaning Chocolate Stains from a One-Piece

  1. Start by dabbing the stain with a clean, damp cloth to remove as much of the chocolate as possible.
  2. Next, mix a few drops of dishwashing liquid with lukewarm water in a shallow bowl.
  3. Using your fingers, gently rub the mixture onto the stain and leave it for about 10 minutes.
  4. Rinse the area with clean, cold water and repeat if necessary.
  5. Once the stain is gone, lay the one-piece flat on a towel and let it air dry. Do not put the item in the machine dryer.

Additional Tips

  • If stain persists or one-piece has fabric that is delicate or easily damaged, then it is best to take it to a professional dry cleaner.
  • Before starting the cleaning process, check the care label on the inside of the garment to make sure it is safe to wash.
  • Before applying any type of solution, do a patch test in an inconspicuous area to ensure that the fabric does not react.
  • For more stubborn chocolate stains, mix a paste made from one teaspoon of baking soda and two tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide.
