Remove any excess chocolate from the shoes by scraping or blotting. Try using a butter knife or spoon to scrape off excess chocolate. Alternatively, use a white cloth or paper towel to blot the area and lift the remaining chocolate off.
Mix 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap with 2 cups of warm water in a small bowl. Stir until the soap is dissolved.
Dip an old toothbrush into the soapy water and work it in circles over affected area. Make sure to scrub lightly, as too much pressure on the fabric can damage the material.
Rinse the soap off with a damp cloth and allow the shoes to air dry.
Once the shoes are dry, use a clean cloth to apply rubbing alcohol to the stain. Rub the area until the stain has disappeared.
If the stain still remains after these steps, try using a mixture of one part lemon juice and two parts cream of tartar. Apply mixture to the stain and let sit for 5 minutes before rinsing with water.
Once stain is gone, let the area dry completely and then apply a waterproof spray to help protect from future stains.
