Equipment Needed to Clean Chocolate Stains off Mesh

  • Mild detergent
  • Warm water
  • Old toothbrush
  • Soft cloths
  • Container for soaking (optional)

Steps to Remove Chocolate Stains from Mesh

  1. Begin by scraping away any excess chocolate with a spoon or butter knife.
  2. Mix 1 teaspoon of mild detergent in 1 cup of warm water.
  3. Using an old toothbrush, gently scrub the stained area with the detergent-water solution.
  4. Rinse with cool water.
  5. If the stain is still there, soak the mesh item in the detergent-water solution in a container for 1 hour.
  6. After soaking for an hour, rinse it with cool water until soap suds are gone.
  7. Using a soft cloth, press down on area to get rid of excess moisture.
  8. Lay the item flat to dry.

Preventing Future Chocolate Stains on Mesh

To avoid future messes, it’s best to try to keep chocolate away from your mesh items in the first place. If you have any children in the house, make sure that they know not to bring any chocolate near your mesh items!
