Eliminating Chocolaty Mess: How to Clean Chocolate Stains from Lingerie
Chocolate is expensive, delightful, indulgent and unfortunately, easily spills. When it gets onto fabric like lingerie, it can seem like a daunting task to remove the stain. Fortunately, with a few simple steps, you can get chocolate stains out of fabric with ease.

What You Need
- Liquid Detergent
- White Vinegar
- Baking Soda
- Toothbrush
- Scrub Brush
- Soft Cloth
Instructions
- As soon as you notice a chocolate stain on your lingerie, rinse it immediately in cold water.
- Mix liquid detergent and white vinegar in equal parts and dilute with 2 tablespoons of cold water. Soak a soft cloth in the mixture and dab directly onto the stained area.
- Leave the paste on the stain for 10 minutes and then rub gently in a circular motion with a soft toothbrush. Do not use too much pressure or the stain can worsen.
- Rinse the lingerie with cool water. If stain is still visible, mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 2 tablespoons of warm water and apply directly to stain with a soft cloth. Leave it on for 10 minutes before rinsing with cool water.
- If the stain persists, mix 2 tablespoons of liquid detergent with 2 cups of cool water and soak stained area overnight.
- In the morning, dip a scrub brush in the running water and scrub area until the stain fades away. Rinse with cool water and lay flat to dry.
