Once you find the stain, start by scraping or dabbing off any remaining solid residue with a dull knife or spoon. Make sure you don't rub too hard, as this could cause the stain to spread further.
You'll want to pre-treat the stain before laundering. Make a paste of laundry detergent and water, then apply it to the stain with a soft cloth. Let it sit for at least 10 minutes before moving on to next step.
Fill up a basin or sink with cold water and add a teaspoon of white vinegar. Submerge leggings into solution and let it soak for 15–20 minutes. This will help remove some of chocolate residue.
Take your leggings out of the water and wash them as you usually do—but make sure the water is cold! Once they're done washing, inspect the stain to make sure it's gone. If it's still there, you may need to repeat steps 2 and 3.
Air dry your leggings or put them in the dryer on low heat. After they're dry, iron them on a lower temperature setting. This will help set color of the fabric and make sure the stain won't come back.
