When it comes to removing chocolate stains from Lacoste apparel, there are a few methods you can use to get rid of them. Depending on how fresh or set in the stain is, and the type of fabric you're dealing with, you can use either a laundry detergent, a stain remover, a cleaner specifically designed for chocolate stains, or even a home remedy. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to remove chocolate stains from favourite Lacoste garment.
What You'll Need
- Laundry detergent
- Stain remover
- Chocolate stain remover
- White vinegar
- Baking soda
- Cotton swabs
- Soft-bristled brush
Instructions
- As soon as possible after discovering the stain, douse it with cold water. Don't let the chocolate dry before treatment.
- Gently scrape the excess chocolate using a blunt knife or spoon.
- Coat the stained area with a laundry detergent, then gently rub it in with your fingers, letting it soak for a couple of minutes.
- Rinse the soapy residue off with cold water. The stain should already begin to fade away.
- If this doesn't work, try applying a stain remover or a cleaner specifically designed to treat chocolate stains.
- If that doesn't work, mix equal parts white vinegar and baking soda to create a paste. Using a soft bristled brush, scrub the stained area with the paste, then rinse the garment in cold water.
- Finally, if stain still doesn't come out, try using a cotton swab soaked in white vinegar, then rinse the garment with cold water. Repeat as necessary until the stain is removed.
With these simple steps, you can easily remove chocolate stains from your favourite Lacoste garments. Remember to always handle the stain as soon as you notice it and to be gentle when scrubbing and rinsing the fabric.
