Clean Off the Naughty Chocolate Stains from Your Handbag

But don’t panic: chocolate stains are not end of your favorite handbag. In fact, if addressed correctly and promptly, you can rescue the piece from damage. Follow these tips for cleaning chocolate stains from your handbag:

  • First, scrape off any excess chocolate from the bag with a teaspoon.
  • Dampen a cloth with cold water and dab over the stain, but be careful not to rub it.
  • If the mark remains, mix equal parts white vinegar and water together and use this to dampen cloth.
  • Gently blot the stain until you feel it’s lifting.
  • When the stain has been removed, rinse the area with cold water to remove the vinegar.
  • Finally, use a mild detergent and a damp cloth to remove any residue.

Cleaning chocolate stains from your handbag is relatively straightforward, so don’t let them ruin your favorite purse or anything else. Do your best to address the mark as soon as you can, and your bag will thank you for it!
