Step 1: Scraping off Excess Chocolate

The first step is to remove as much of the excess chocolate as possible. It’s important to do this carefully as you don't want to damage your grill's surface. You can use a flat plastic spatula or a plastic scraper with a soft cloth in order to get rid of any remaining chocolate left on the grill.

Step 2: Wiping Down the Grill's Surface

Once you’ve removed the excess chocolate you can move on to wiping down the surface. For this step you'll need warm water and liquid dish soap. Start by adding one tablespoon of liquid soap to a cup of warm water and then use a soft cloth to clean the surface of the grill. Make sure to scrub gently as too much pressure could damage the surface.

Step 3: Rinse and Dry

After you’re done cleaning, it’s important to rinse the surface of the grill with clean warm water and then use a clean cloth to dry it. Once your grill is completely dry you can use a soft bristle brush to remove any remaining grease or food bits left on the surface.

Additional Tips

  • If your grill is made of cast iron you can use coarse salt to help remove stubborn stains.
  • If you need to use a stronger product to clean your grill avoid using acidic cleaners like vinegar and lemon juice as these could damage surface of grill.
  • For hard-to-remove stains you can use a metal scrubber or a commercial cleaner specifically designed for grills.
