The longer you wait to clean the chocolate stains, the harder it will be to remove it completely. Blot the stains with a damp cloth as soon as you notice it. You don’t want to rub the area as this will cause stain to spread.
Create a solution of detergent and water and dip a soft bristled brush into it. Gently scrub the area of the chocolate stain and ensure the detergent is not too harsh. Rinse off the detergent with lukewarm water.
Fill a bowl or bucket with warm water and mix in a capful of laundry detergent. Submerge the stained area and let it soak for about 30-60 minutes. This will help break down the chocolate stain more and make it easier to scrub.
Once the fabric has soaked enough, use a soft bristled brush to gently scrub the area. Make sure you’re using a brush specifically meant for fabrics, as other materials may damage the material of the shoe. Do not use too much force while scrubbing.
If the chocolate stain isn’t completely removed after the first time, don’t worry – it takes a few rounds of scrubbing and rinsing to get rid of it entirely. Repeat steps 3-4 until stain is gone.
Finally, once stain is removed, it’s time to give your Fila shoes some time to air dry. Don’t put them in dryer as this could damage the material. If available, place a fan near the shoes to speed up drying process.
Chocolate stains can easily ruin look of your Fila shoes, but they don’t have to stay that way. By following these simple steps, you can easily remove any chocolate stains and restore your shoes back to their original condition.
