Steps For Removing Chocolate Stains From Coveralls
- Start by blotting away as much of the chocolate stain as you can using a paper towel. This will help to reduce the amount of work you have to do and make sure stain is not able to spread.
- Mix together a solution of one part white vinegar and one part cold water.
- Using a clean cloth, dip it into the solution and blot at the stain until it is saturated.
- Leave the solution to sit for about 15 minutes.
- Once the solution has had time to work, use a scrubbing brush to gently agitate the stained area.
- Rinse off the coverall with cold water.
- If the chocolate stain persists, you can try soaking the coverall in a bucket of cold water with 1/2 cup of dishwashing liquid added to it. Leave this to soak overnight.
- The next morning, rinse off the coverall and check to see how much of stain has been removed.
- If the stain remains, repeat the steps above again until it is gone.
Extra Tips
- It is important to make sure you always use cold water when trying to remove chocolate stains. Hot water can actually cause the stain to sink deeper into the fabric.
- Be careful when scrubbing the stained area - too much force can damage the coverall fabric.
- Once the stain has been removed, make sure to wash the coverall in washing machine on a cold cycle.
