Method 1: Use cool water and a light cloth

This is the most common method used to get rid of chocolate stains on cocktail dresses. Begin by using a damp cloth to lightly dab away at the stain. Make sure to not rub stain or scrub vigorously as this could cause further damage to the garment. If the stain is proving to be stubborn, you can also try using a little bit of cool water and a light detergent to work away at stain.

Method 2: Use a mild detergent and a toothbrush

If the stain is quite stubborn, you may need to resort to use of a mild detergent. Mix the detergent with some warm (not hot) water and dip a soft-bristled toothbrush into the mixture. Gently scrub the stain until it starts to fade away. This process may take several attempts and you may need to rinse the stained area off with some clean water in between.

Method 3: Use club soda and a paper towel

If all else fails, you can try using club soda to get rid of chocolate stain. Dab the stain with a paper towel soaked in club soda. Leave the soda on the stain for about 5 minutes before wiping it off with a damp cloth. Do this a few times until the stain is completely gone.

Conclusion

No one likes to find chocolate stains on their cocktail dress, but the good news is that it doesn't have to be a disaster. With a little bit of patience and the right materials, you can restore your garment to its former glory in no time.
