Chocolate stains on fabrics such as chinos may seem hard to remove, but there are some surprisingly simple tips and tricks to help get them out. Here are a few methods that you can use to clean chocolate from chinos:
One of the simplest methods for removing chocolate stains from chinos is to first rinse the stain with cold water. Then, make a paste out of a small amount of detergent and warm water. Use a toothbrush to gently scrub the paste onto the stained areas of the fabric. Rinse area with cold water, and then allow the fabric to air dry.
Another way to remove chocolate stains is to use rubbing alcohol. Pour a small amount of rubbing alcohol onto a cloth and gently dab it onto the stained area of the fabric. After a few minutes, rinse the area with cold water. Allow the fabric to air dry before wearing again.
The combination of vinegar and baking soda can also be used to remove chocolate stains from chinos. Make a paste with equal parts of vinegar and baking soda and apply it directly to the stained area. Allow the mixture to sit for several minutes, then rinse it with cold water. Finally, air dry the fabric and stain should be gone!
This method is best used as a last resort since bleach can damage fabric. First, mix a small amount of laundry detergent with a few drops of bleach in a bowl of warm water. Soak the stained area in the mixture for several minutes, then rinse it with cold water. Lastly, air dry the fabric and the stain should be gone.
With the right methods and with a bit of patience, chocolate stains on chinos can easily be removed. As always, be sure to read the care instructions on your chinos before attempting to treat any stains.
