Step 1: Brush Off the Excess Chocolate

The first step is to brush off any residual chocolate from the fabric. A stiff-bristled brush or toothbrush will do the job. This helps to prevent stain from getting ground further into the fabric.

Step 2: Blot the Stain

Using a clean cloth, blot the stained area gently. Do not rub or scrub the stain, as this could spread it. If the stain is still wet, continue blotting until all the excess liquid has been absorbed.

Step 3: Use a Cleaning Solution

To finish, create a cleaning solution using warm water, a mild, non-bleach detergent, and a teaspoon of white vinegar. Test this solution on a small, inconspicuous portion of the fabric before applying it to the entire stain. Once tested, dip a clean cloth into the solution and apply it onto the stain. Let sit for a few minutes and then rinse off with cold water. Finally, press the fabric dry with a towel and let air dry. And voila! Your charmeuse fabric should be free of that pesky chocolate stain.
