Materials Needed
- Detergent specially formulated for delicate fabrics
- Enzyme-based stain remover
- Small bowl or container with warm water
- Soft-bristled toothbrush or similar
- Hairdryer
- White cloth or paper towels
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Using a soft-bristled brush or soft cloth, carefully brush away any solid particles of chocolate that may still be attached to the fabric.
- Mix up a solution of one teaspoon detergent per cup of warm water in a container or bowl.
- Submerge the stained portion of the fabric into the solution, making sure the entire stain is covered. Let it soak for 15 to 20 minutes.
- After soaking, use your soft-bristled brush to gently scrub the area, taking care not to pull or stretch the lace.
- Rinse the fabric with warm water and allow it to air dry.
- If any stains remain, apply an enzyme-based stain remover to the affected area and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
- Once the product has had time to work, rinse the fabric again and let it air dry.
- To expedite drying process, use a hair dryer set on low heat, moving appliance continuously over the fabric.
- Once the fabric is completely dry, inspect it for any remaining stains and repeat process if needed.

- Do not use hot water or hot air when working with delicate fabrics such as Chantilly lace.
- Take care when scrubbing the fabric not to pull or stretch it, as this could cause damage.
