Who doesn't love indulging in a few pieces of chocolate? Cleaning up after that sweet treat, however, can be tricky - especially when it comes to removing those chocolate stains from cashmere! Here's how you can get your cashmere looking like new again.

What You'll Need

  • A dry-cleaning agent
  • Cotton cloth
  • Lukewarm water
  • Mild detergent

Instructions

  1. Gently dab the stained area with a cotton cloth wet with lukewarm water.
  2. Treat the affected area with a dry-cleaning agent, taking care not to rub it into the fabric.
  3. Dab and rinse the area with lukewarm water until it looks clean.
  4. Apply a mild detergent to stained area and work it in gently with a cotton cloth.
  5. Rinse the area and repeat the process until the stain is gone.
  6. Let the item dry and check it before ironing.

Tips

  • Do not put cashmere in the washing machine.
  • Do not put cashmere in the dryer.
  • Do not use bleach or chlorine to remove chocolate stains.
  • Always test the dry-cleaning agent in an inconspicuous area first.
  • It's best to soak item for 30 minutes in cold water after cleaning.
