What You Need
- A sponge or soft cloth
- Clean towels
- Laundry detergent
- Chlorine bleach (optional)
- Salt
- Club soda
Steps to Removing The Stain
- Blot the stain with a soft cloth or a sponge right away.
- Mix one tablespoon of laundry detergent with two cups of cold water.
- Dip the sponge or cloth in the solution and dab the stained area gently.
- Rinse the area with cold water and blot with a clean cloth.
- If the stain persists, mix one tablespoon of chlorine bleach in a quarter cup of cold water; not all fabrics can take chlorine bleach, so be sure to check the label! Dip the cloth or sponge into the bleach solution and dab the stained area lightly.
- Mix two tablespoons of salt with two cups of warm water and dampen the stained area with mixture.
- Soak area with club soda and rinse with cold water quickly.
