The first thing you’ll want to do is carefully remove any excess chocolate that hasn’t been absorbed by the fabric using a dull knife or spoon. It’s important to be careful so that you don’t accidentally push the chocolate further into the fabric.
Once the excess chocolate has been removed, you’ll want to gently blot stained area with a damp cloth. This will help dissolve any remaining chocolate and help prevent it from getting further embedded into the fabric.
To remove the remaining chocolate, apply a dab of liquid detergent directly onto the stained area. Allow the detergent to sit and soak into the fabric for a few minutes before continuing.
Using a soft-bristled toothbrush, gently scrub the stained area in circular motions while detergent is still present. This will help lift and remove any remaining chocolate residue from fabric.
Once the scrubbing is done, use cold water to rinse the stained area. This will help remove the detergent residue and any other debris that might have been stuck in the fabric.
