How To Easily Remove Chocolate Stains From Bandanas
Chocolate spills are a dreaded mess, especially when they get on bandanas. Whether it's your favorite bandana or a new one, cleaning the stain can be difficult. While the process may seem daunting, with the help of some common household items, you can easily remove chocolate stains from bandanas.

Things You'll Need
- Laundry detergent
- Vinegar
- Cloth
- Dishwashing liquid
- Sink
Instructions
- First, rinse the bandana in cold water, as soon as possible. This will limit the spread of the chocolate and make it easier to clean.
- Fill the sink with warm water and add a few drops of laundry detergent. Mix until it is well combined, then submerge bandana in water for about 10 minutes.
- Once time is up, use a cloth to create a paste with the laundry detergent and water. Rub paste gently into stained area of the bandana and let it sit for a few minutes.
- Rinse the bandana in cold water.
- If stain still remains, mix equal parts of white vinegar and dishwashing liquid and apply it to the stained area.
- Allow the solution to sit on the fabric for about five minutes, then rinse it in cold water.
- Repeat steps if necessary.
- Finally, wash the bandana with similar colors on a gentle cycle in the washing machine.
Tips & Warnings
- Test the cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area first to avoid damaging the fabric.
- Avoid putting the bandana in the dryer, as this can set in the chocolate stain.
- It is recommended to hang dry the bandana after washing.
