Getting chocolate on your apron can be a messy dilemma, but it doesn’t have to be the end of your favorite piece of clothing. There are several simple steps you can take to remove chocolate stains from an apron without having to do a full wash cycle.
Start by moistening a clean, white cloth or paper towel with some warm water and gently dab stained area. Once the stain is damp, use a dab of mild liquid detergent or soap (such as Dawn) and rub the fabric together gently. Rinse the soapy area with clean water and then blot it dry with a new clean cloth. Repeat this process until the stain is removed.
If the soap and water method didn’t completely get rid of the stain, try using baking soda and vinegar. First, mix equal parts baking soda and vinegar and apply the mixture to stain. Let the concoction sit for five to ten minutes before blotting it with a clean cloth and rinsing it off with water. Finish by drying the area with a clean cloth.
If the stain persists, try using rubbing alcohol. Apply some rubbing alcohol to a clean cloth and gently rub it into the stain. Be sure not to rub too hard or the fabric may become damaged. Let the alcohol sit for 10 minutes and then rinse the area with clean water and blot it dry with a clean cloth.
Removing chocolate stains from an apron can be a tricky task, but it is not impossible. With these easy methods, you can safely and effectively remove chocolate stains from your apron in no time.
