If your Angora item was freshly stained with chocolate, dab the area with a paper towel or dry cloth. Try to get as much of the melted chocolate off of the surface as possible. Once you have removed the excess chocolate, leave the fabric in a cool, dry place and wait for the stain to set.
When the stain has dried and set, mix one teaspoon of liquid detergent with one cup of warm water. Submerge the fabric in the soapy solution and let it soak for at least twenty minutes. Once it’s finished soaking, rinse the fabric thoroughly.
Once the fabric has been thoroughly soaked and rinsed, place it in a delicate cycle in the washing machine. Use an enzyme-based laundry detergent to help break down the stain before laundering. Finish the cycle by tossing the fabric in the dryer on a low setting.
If after laundry day, the stain appears to still be lingering, create a paste by mixing baking soda, white vinegar, and a few drops of water. Gently apply mixture to the area and let it sit for fifteen minutes. Once the paste has dried, brush it off with a clean cloth and voila! Your Angora item should be free of all chocolate stains.
