Chocolate can be a tricky stain to remove, so it's important to act fast! Follow these steps as soon as possible to successfully clean the spot without damaging your apparel:

  • Blot the stain as soon as possible using a cloth or paper towel.
  • Mix 1 teaspoon of liquid detergent with one cup of warm water and pre-treat the stain using this solution.
  • Rinse the stained area with cold water.
  • Using a clean cloth, apply a small amount of rubbing alcohol and gently blot the stained area.
  • Rinse the area with cold water and allow the item to air dry.

If you notice that the stain is still present after following these steps, it's best to take the item to a professional cleaner who can use a special spotting agent or a steam cleaner to remove chocolate from the fabric.

And remember, it's always best practice to read and follow the care label instructions for your particular item before attempting at-home cleaning methods so as not to damage your American Eagle apparel.
