What You'll Need

  • White vinegar
  • Dishwashing liquid
  • Clean cloths
  • Oxygen-based bleach
  • Laundry detergent

Steps to Remove the Stains

  1. Check the garment tag for specific care instructions.
  2. Gently blot the area with a clean cloth to remove any excess chocolate.
  3. Mix one part vinegar with one part water and dab the mixture onto stain using a clean cloth.
  4. Rinse the area with cold water.
  5. Create a paste of dishwashing liquid mixed with oxygen-based bleach. Then, rub the paste into the stain and let it sit for 45 minutes.
  6. Soak fabric in cold water for 10 minutes.
  7. Place the fabric in the washing machine and wash with laundry detergent using cold water.
  8. Leave the garment to dry completely.
  9. Once dry, check the stained area for any lingering chocolate spots.
