What You'll Need

  • Dish washing liquid
  • Soft cloth or sponge
  • Mild abrasive cleaner
  • Soft bristle brush
  • Plastic wrap

Steps to Remove Chocolate Stains from Acrylic

  1. Start by blotting up any excess melted chocolate with a clean cloth or paper towel. Make sure to dab the chocolate and not rub it to avoid spreading it further.
  2. Mix a small amount of dish soap with warm water and dip a cloth or sponge into the mixture. Gently scrub the stained area in a circular motion.
  3. If the stain persists, try a mild abrasive cleaner like baking soda, cream of tartar, or toothpaste. Use a soft bristle brush to gently scrub the stained area.
  4. Once the stain has been removed, rinse the area thoroughly with warm water and pat dry with a clean cloth.
  5. To prevent any remaining stain from setting back in, cover the area with a few layers of plastic wrap and leave it to dry.

Additional Tips

  • It is important to act quickly when removing chocolate stains as they can set in if left for too long.
  • Be sure to use gentle products and motions when cleaning acrylic surfaces to avoid scratching.
  • Always test cleaning products on an inconspicuous area before using on the stained surface.
